Developing athletic performance.. A good strength and conditioning program can make the difference between a podium finish and an also-ran. Being your best requires hard work but research continues to show that the still prevalent "go hard or go home" axiom applied to every workout actually impairs elite performance development by reducing the effectiveness of recovery and interfering with a progression of training that the bodies cells are designed to respond to. Training smart requires meaningful assessments of performance and a flexible training system that adapts daily with the athlete; monthly plans can't capture those individual days that are best to push harder to move forward or to take a break to allow recovery to move you forward. It feels great to be on top of your game, but not so great with injuries and plateaus. Sport science has come a long way and is how all developmental as well as world class athletes are making the largest improvements. |

Loosing weight and getting fit.. Good nutrition and regular exercise are the cornerstones of feeling great. Being healthy and active reduces the number of colds you have per year and reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease, cancer, type II diabetes, and gives you the mobility and energy to not only make it through the day but also to enjoy life to the fullest potential. An active lifestyle can prolong life and increase the quality of life through reducing stress, making you stronger, and sleep better. Eating healthy liberates us from the same old overeating and junk food habits that weigh us down. So how do you do it? Do you need a special diet? Do we need to exercise until we're exhausted? |
